Manvel Texans Football

The Manvel Texans organization originated as the Manvel Jaguars. In 2016, the organization adopted the name Manvel Texans and have operated as the Manvel Texans for the last five years. Our organization primarily operates out of the Brazoria County area and currently practices at Manvel High School behind the Junior High School practice field. A primary focus of our organization is player development as well as building character in our student-athletes.

To ensure that we are implementing these primary principles we have adopted a vision statement as follows:

Our Vision: To build an organization that helps to support and shape character, build positive peer leaders, positively impact all student participants, coaches, volunteers, and the community.

Our Mission: The Manvel Texans exists to provide a wholistic educational and positive recreational youth football and cheer program aimed at improving the character development and quality of life for youth within the community.
Our Objectives:
To encourage and increase youth participation in football and cheerleading.
To ensure a safe and positive playing environment for all participants and parents.

To instill life-long values of character, integrity, teamwork, dedication, and an engaged work ethic in the classroom and on the playing field.
To ensure that we are accomplishing our objectives, completing our mission, and fulfilling our vision, we have employed coaches and volunteers who demonstrate the qualities that are present in the core of our mission.
Under the leadership of our coaches, the Manvel Texans have experienced a tremendous amount of success.

In 2015 and 2016 our peewee team made it to the Super Bowl.

In 2017 our freshman and sophomore teams also made it to the Super Bowl that year.

In 2018 our peewee team made it to the Super Bowl with the sophomore team narrowly missed going to the Super Bowl.

In 2019 sophomore team made their run it to the Super Bowl and posted an undefeated regular season.
Buddy program
​
The Manvel Texans have collaborated with Manvel high school to ensure that our athletes are connected with local resources that provide instructional training camps to assist our athletes in their development. Coaches from the Manvel high school assist in training camps in the off-season to ensure that our athletes are developing healthy techniques and skills to assist them in performance at their best and allowing the athletes to remain safe through learning the game of football the correct way.

As a part of the Buddy program, our athletes are paired with athletes from the Manvel high school football team which allows mentorship and leadership training for our athletes. Doing the Manvel high school home games, players who are a part of the buddy program, on the Manvel Texans team, can run out of the tunnel with the high school football team before home games.
